Rajesh was a happy 11 year old boy who loved playing cricket and video games with his friends. He lived with his mother, Radha, who was a single parent and a devout Hindu. Radha always wanted a daughter, but she was grateful for her son and loved him dearly. She also believed in astrology and magic, and often consulted a local priest for guidance.
One day, the priest told Radha that her son's horoscope indicated that he would face a lot of troubles and dangers in his life as a boy, but if he became a girl, he would have a prosperous and peaceful future. Radha was shocked and scared by this prediction, and asked the priest what she could do to change her son's fate. The priest gave her a magic potion and told her to secretly mix it in her son's milk before he went to bed. He said that the potion would transform Rajesh into a girl overnight, and that he would forget his past life as a boy.
Radha was hesitant at first, but she decided to follow the priest's advice, thinking that it was for her son's own good. She bought some new clothes and accessories for her son, including half sarees, which are traditional South Indian dresses worn by young girls. She also pierced his nose, ears and navel while he was asleep, and put some jewellery on him. She hoped that he would wake up as a beautiful girl and accept his new identity.
The next morning, Rajesh woke up feeling strange and groggy. He opened his eyes and saw his mother smiling at him. He tried to speak, but his voice came out high-pitched and feminine. He looked down at his body and gasped. He had breasts, long hair, and was wearing a half saree with a blouse, skirt and shawl. He felt something cold and metal on his nose, ears and navel, and realized that they were pierced. He touched his face and felt smooth skin and soft lips. He was no longer Rajesh, he was Rajeshwari.
"Good morning, my darling daughter," Radha said sweetly. "How are you feeling today?"
Rajeshwari was too shocked to answer. She couldn't believe what had happened to her. She felt like she was in a nightmare.
"Mom...what...what did you do to me?" she stammered.
Radha hugged her gently and said, "Don't be afraid, my dear. This is your true self. You are my daughter now. You were born as a boy by mistake, but now you have been corrected by the grace of God. You don't remember your past life as a boy, because it was not meant for you. You are Rajeshwari now, a beautiful and talented girl who will make me proud."
Rajeshwari tried to resist her mother's embrace, but she felt weak and helpless. She couldn't understand how her mother could do this to her without her consent. She felt betrayed and angry.
"Mom...please...change me back...I don't want to be a girl...I want to be Rajesh again..." she sobbed.
Radha shook her head and said, "No, my dear. This is for your own good. Trust me, you will be happier as a girl. You will have a better life than you ever had as a boy. You will have more opportunities, more friends, more love. You will learn new things, like bharatanatyam dance, which is an ancient and graceful art form that expresses our culture and spirituality. You will wear beautiful clothes like half sarees, which are elegant and modest outfits that suit your age and gender. You will grow up into a fine woman who will marry a handsome and wealthy man who will take care of you."
Rajeshwari couldn't believe what she was hearing. She didn't want any of those things that her mother was promising her. She wanted to play cricket and video games with her friends. She wanted to wear jeans and t-shirts. She wanted to grow up into a man who could make his own choices.
"Mom...please...stop...I don't want any of this...I want my old life back..." she pleaded.
Radha ignored her protests and said, "Come on, my dear. Let's get ready for your first day as a girl."
