Radha invited many guests for Rajeshwari's puberty ceremony. She invited her relatives, friends, neighbors, and even some potential suitors for her daughter. She wanted everyone to see how beautiful and mature Rajeshwari had become.
She also hired a band to play music, a photographer to take pictures, and a caterer to serve food. She wanted the ceremony to be grand and memorable.
Rajeshwari was not looking forward to the ceremony. She felt nervous and anxious about meeting so many people. She felt shy and insecure about her appearance. She felt pressured and scared about her future.
She also felt lonely and isolated. She missed her old friends, who had no idea what she was going through. She wished she could talk to them and share her feelings.
But she had no choice. She had to face the ceremony. She had to act like a woman. She had to smile and nod.
The day of the ceremony arrived. Rajeshwari woke up early and took a bath. Her mother helped her dress up in her new half saree², which was pink and silver, with pearls and diamonds. She also put on her new jewellery, which was delicate and elegant. She also applied some makeup on her face, which made her look radiant and lovely.
She looked at herself in the mirror and felt like a princess.
"Mom...do I have to wear all this?" she asked.
"Yes, my dear. You look beautiful. You look like a goddess." Radha said.
"I feel beautiful. I feel like a goddess." Rajeshwari said.
She surprised herself by saying that. She realized that she actually liked how she looked. She felt a surge of confidence and happiness.
Maybe being a woman wasn't so bad after all.
Radha then took Rajeshwari to the living room, where the guests were waiting for them. They greeted them with smiles and compliments. They showered Rajeshwari with gifts and blessings. They praised Radha for raising such a wonderful daughter.
Rajeshwari felt overwhelmed by the attention and admiration. She felt flattered and grateful. She felt proud and honored.
Maybe being a woman was something to celebrate after all.
Radha then led Rajeshwari to a decorated chair in the center of the room, where she sat down gracefully. The band started playing some lively songs, and some of the guests began dancing. Radha joined them, while Rajeshwari watched them with interest.
She noticed that some of the guests were young boys, around her age or older. They were handsome and well-dressed, with charming smiles and confident manners. They looked at her with curiosity and attraction.
She felt a flutter in her stomach and a blush on her cheeks. She felt shy and excited. She felt attracted and curious.
Maybe being a woman was something to enjoy after all.
One of the boys approached her with a smile. He introduced himself as Ravi, a friend of her cousin's. He asked her if she wanted to dance with him.
She hesitated for a moment, then nodded yes.
He took her hand and led her to the dance floor. He held her gently by the waist and moved with her to the rhythm of the music. He looked into her eyes and said,
"You are very beautiful."
She smiled and said,
"Thank you."
He leaned closer and said,
"You are very special."
She blushed and said,
"Thank you."
He kissed her softly on the cheek and said,
"You are very welcome."
She felt a spark in her heart and a warmth in her body. She felt happy and alive.
Maybe being a woman was something to love after all.
